| This drawing of the Bishop's Garden shows basic design and many refinements by Olmsted Brothers, as modified and brought to completion by Florence Brown Bratenahl. With its carefully placed fruit trees, many herb plantings, and enclosing wall it is a map of Olmsted's conception of an ancient seeming garden that was planted and embellished thanks to the leadership, knowledge, successful fund-raising and tremendous energy of Mrs. Bratenahl |
