Pollinator Week is an annual celebration in support of pollinator health that was initiated and is managed by Pollinator Partnership.
It is a time to raise awareness for pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them.
Pollinators are often keystone species, meaning that they are critical to an ecosystem. The work of pollinators ensures full harvests of crops and contributes to healthy plants everywhere.
-
- An estimated 1/3 of all foods and beverages is delivered by pollinators.
- In the U.S., pollination produces nearly $20 billion worth of products annually.
Pollinator Week a great time to visit our Pollinator Garden, designed in 2018 by the All Hallows Guild summer horticulture interns. We also support pollinators throughout the Cathedral’s Gardens through the use of native plants and by installing Mason Bee tubes.
