It is through the generosity of donors that we continue to keep the 57 acres of gardens and grounds surrounding the Cathedral open (free of charge) every day of the year. This invaluable space, in the middle of our Nation’s Capital, relies entirely on private donations and fund-raising for maintenance, enhancement, and preservation.
This application for a memorial bench, chair or tree is not binding in the event that an acceptable location on the Cathedral close is not currently available as determined by All Hallows Guild. The location of a bench or tree will be mutually determined by the Applicants and All Hallows Guild – acting as stewards to the Cathedral Close landscape. It is further understood that the price of a Bench or Chair includes a continuing maintenance fee and a plaque. In the event a Bench or Chair needs replacing, the Guild will make every effort to contact the donor or their family before taking action.
