Flower Mart Activities and Entertainment
Below is a list of the performances and activities scheduled for Flower Mart 2022

Free entertainment occurs on both Friday and Saturday on the Pinnacle Stage – in front of the Cathedral’s main entrance.
FRIDAY, MAY 6, 2022
10:00 a.m. Opening Ceremony, Washington National Cathedral Nave
10:30 a.m. NCS Lower School Choral Ensembles, Cathedral’s west steps

11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Children’s Story Time
Children’s Story Time will be held outside of the Children’s Book Tent on both days of Flower Mart at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm – weather permitting.
11:20 a.m. NCS/STA Upper School Chorale & Madrigals, Cathedral’s west steps

12:00 Noon
Carillon Recital
Cathedral Carillonneur Edward M. Nassor performs the award winning compositions in the international carillon competition, Inspired by Olmsted on the Cathedral’s 53 bronze bell carillon.
12:30 p.m. NCS Middle School Chorus, Cathedral’s west steps
12:45 p.m. STA Form I & II Chorus, Cathedral’s west steps

NCS/STA Orchestra Concert
Instrumental musicians from St. Albans and National Cathedral School join together to play in concert – Cathedral’s High Altar.

3:15 p.m.
NCS/STA Dance Performance
The NCS/STA Dance Program is the largest such independent-school offering in the Washington area. More than 100 students participate in a variety of disciplines.

Children’s Chorus of Washington
CCW made its debut at The Kennedy Center in November 1996. Since then, CCW has distinguished itself as one of our country’s premier youth choruses.

11:00 a.m.
Tom Carroll and the Silver Strings, a Chesapeake Bay area folk, bluegrass, blues, traditional, and contemporary music string band.

11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Nen Daiko has been performing Japanese Taiko in the Washington DC metropolitan area since 1994.

1:15 p.m.
Capitol City Strings is a Suzuki-based violin studio founded in the love of music and learning for young children.

1:45 p.m.
Taal Academy of Dance is an Indian dance company that is based in Washington, DC.

2:30 p.m.
Flamenco is bound up with the history of Andalucía, where over the centuries Europe has mingled with Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.

3:15 p.m.
Our dancers have danced to the accompaniment of world renowned Irish musicians at Strathmore, Kennedy Center, Wolftrap, the Irish Embassy and The White House.

4:00 p.m.
Celebrate the arrival of Spring with traditional music and dance performed by the Revels’ adults, teen and kids choruses.
5:00 p.m. Flower Mart 2022 Closes
