Flower Mart Activities and Entertainment

Below is a list of the performances and activities scheduled for Flower Mart 2024

Note: Performance times are subject to change. In the event of inclement weather, all performances will take place inside the Cathedral.

Free entertainment occurs on both Friday and Saturday on the Pinnacle Stage – in front of the Cathedral’s main entrance and in the Cathedral nave.

FRIDAY, MAY 3, 2024

10:00 a.m. Opening Ceremony, Washington National Cathedral Nave. STA CBA Chorus and NCS 4th Grade Chorus perform at Opening Ceremony inside.

10:45 a.m. NCS Lower School Choruses, Pinnacle Stage

11:15 a.m. NCS/STA Upper School Chorale & Madrigal Singers, Pinnacle Stage

12:00 Noon NCS Middle School Chorus and STA Forms I & II Chorus, Pinnacle Stage

2:00 p.m.

NCS/STA Orchestra Concert, Nave Platform, inside Cathedral

Instrumental musicians from St. Albans and National Cathedral School join together to play in concert.

3:15 p.m.

NCS/STA Dance Performance, Pinnacle Stage

The NCS/STA Dance Program is the largest such independent-school offering in the Washington area. More than 100 students participate in a variety of disciplines.

4:30 p.m. Active Chil Art, Sri Lankan Folk Dancers, Pinnacle Stage

5:00 p.m.

Dance Flamenco DC, Pinnacle Stage

Flamenco is bound up with the history of Andalucía, where over the centuries Europe has mingled with Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.

6:00 p.m. Flower Mart closes for the day

Children’s Chorus of Washington, Nave Platform, inside Cathedral

CCW made its debut at The Kennedy Center in November 1996. Since then, CCW has distinguished itself as one of our country’s premier youth choruses.

11:00 a.m. Bulgarian musical and dance presentation, Pinnacle Stage

Taal Academy of Dance, Pinnacle Stage

Taal Academy of Dance is an Indian dance company that is based in Washington, DC. 

12:00 p.m.

St. James Episcopal School Choir, Nave Platform, inside Cathedral

Our students are engaged in a variety of musical activities, from singing in the Chapel Choir and a cappella groups to instrumental chamber ensembles and student-organized bands.

12:30 p.m.

Odissi Lasya Dance School, Pinnacle Stage

Odissi is one of the oldest dance forms – originating from the Hindu temples of Orissa in India.

1:00 p.m.

Culkin School of Irish Dance, Pinnacle Stage

Our dancers have danced to the accompaniment of world renowned Irish musicians at Strathmore, Kennedy Center, Wolftrap, the Irish Embassy and The White House.

1:30 p.m.

Sophia Hall, DC Youth Poet Laureate, Pinnacle Stage

DC resident Sophia Hall is this year’s youth poet laureate. Her writing has been recognized by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the Library of Congress, and several other organizations.

2:00 p.m.

Capitol Sound Strings, Nave Platform inside Cathedral

Capitol City Strings is a Suzuki-based violin studio committed to developing excellence in the performing arts among the rising generation of the Greater Washington area.

2:30 p.m.

Sticks+Bars Youth Marimba Ensemble, Pinnacle Stage

We are DC’s first and only African style marimba band for students must be in grades 5-12.  We play the lively music of Zimbabwe and Southern Africa, and beyond.

3:15 p.m.

CityDance DC Dance Team, Pinnacle Stage

With a mission to transform lives and communities through dance, CityDance works towards creating a world where everyone has access to the benefits of an arts education and where world-class dance is available to all.

3:55 p.m.

Washington Revels, Pinnacle Stage and environs

Celebrate the arrival of Spring with traditional music and dance performed by the Revels’ adults, teen and kids choruses.

5:00 p.m. Flower Mart 2024 Closes


All Hallows Guild was founded in 1916 to provide for the care and beautification of the grounds of Washington National Cathedral. The Guild works closely with the horticultural staff to preserve this historic landscape and raises funds for renovation and renewal of the gardens.
