a walled Garden for a Gothic cathedral
The design of the Bishop's Garden incorporates plants of historical interest and plants of the Bible and Christian legends. Medieval sculpture serve as focal points and backdrops to the plantings. The Bishop's garden was completed in 1928, and rededicated in 2013 following a major restoration and replanting. The Bishop's Garden continues to evolve as plantings are replaced to accommodate a changing climate.
